Greetings:

I am blessed with a CEL. Durametric read the error code as P000A. I then ran short test and it came back with bunch of error codes but I couldn't find P000A. This  makes little/no sense to my untrained eyes/mind. The car is running fine with no noticeable degradation in performance or engine noise.

Can someone help me understand what is going on?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

Looks like you have a CAN gateway fault that has triggered a herd of communications errors.  I would suggest clear all the codes and see what, if any, come back.

Sometimes these complicated communications issues are a form of "brain fart" in the system, and actually just "ghost codes" that don't reoccur.

Thanks for the info.

This has  happened before and I cleared it. It went away and came back after  few weeks and approximately 2k miles. I cleared it again and this time it came back in just 3-4 days

I don’t know anyone with PIWIS and this does not sound like something an amateur should be messing with. I guess I need to take it to a dealer.

One last question. I am 200 miles from home and the nearest Porsche dealer. Should I drive or tow it?

Thanks again for all your help!

Cheers

K

You are in LA and 200 miles from a dealer?  Seems a bit odd.

In any case, the problem is one of various systems communicating with each other, so it may not have any impact on drivability.

I am at Death Valley National Park for the holidays. 🙂
