Last weekend I was at Sebring for HPDE and my clutch started slipping
 Its fine for daily driving currently but it's time to replace clutch and probably the  flywheel this tine ( didnt change it at 90k miles last time and Im  at 197k miles).  Im thinking of getting a midweight  ( aprox 18 lbs instead of OE 40lbs)  flywheel.  Anyone have experience or knowledge about it?   I understand it should allow the engine to accelerate faster but causes the transmissionnto make ticking noise at idle.  

 

The car is a 2004 996TT cabriolet that is stock except for the PCCM+ I installed 2 years ago and the GT2 no clutch assist.
