Help matching lug bolts and lug nuts with spacers

Recommended Posts

I put new wheels on my 987. The rear wheels (only) required spacers. Now, my lug bolts on the front do not match the lug nuts on the rear that were required with the spacers.

The 2006 Boxster came with lug bolts that are dimpled and concave on top.

With the spacers on the rear, the rear wheels now attach with lug nuts that are smooth and convex on top, not dimpled and concave.

I'd like these lug nuts/lug bolts to match. I don't care which I replace (or whether there are "caps" for the lug bolts), as long as they match.

Any ideas?

Find someone who can get H&R stuff. They have threaded studs that have a knuckle 1/2" up so that you can thread it into the existing hole for your lugbolt and it leaves a regular threaded stud. Then you can procure the same set of nuts you have that matches the rear. I used these studs on my car: M14x1.5x60 studs... H&R part #1456005 which are a little long for your application. I don't know if H&R make a shorter version but you can always cut off any excess.

Good luck,

Graeme
