Upgrade head lamps for GT3 Mk1

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I am newbie here with a lovely GT3 Mk1. I have enjoyed reading through some postings and am pleased to see some very well experienced GT3 lovers out there!

My car does not have the xenon light kit and I would like to upgrade to it.

I have found a GT3 RS about to be wrecked in Aussie and it has some lamps. However the RS is a Mk2.

I understand that the lamps from this car will not fit a Mk1? Is this correct?

If true, if I purchase the front nose bumper as well, will this fit on the car all ok??

Any help most appreciated!

Cheers, Angus

The lamps from a GT3 RS will not fit a mk1 GT3 without changing the front bumper, lamps (and wiring), and both front fenders.

Litronics (Xenon) kits are sold here in the states for about $1000 - $1200 new. If you are lucky you might find some on eBay - but I doubt it as they are pretty popular.

Thanks muchly - I forgot to mention I am in New Zealand so aussie may be a better bet re new lamps. Here they retail for about 2500USD, hence my search for used...

When you mention both front fenders - what parts are these? The front as I know the car has the main front bumper with a splitter at the bottom.. I have attached a picture
