6 CD Changer Install For 2003 996

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 Porsche 911 with a standard Porsche Radio/Single CD player. It is a CDR 23.

I would like to add a 6 CD changer. What parts do I need, besides the CD changer? I am assuming that there is a installation kit with brackets, nuts/bolts, and wiring? Can a novice complete the installation or is this a dealer installed option?

How much will this cost?

Where can I buy the 6 CD changer and parts? Is there a complete CD kit?

Thanks,

Mike

Here is a link to where the parts lists are. Be sure and choose the specific equipment you have now to get the correct part numbers.

This depends on your skill/tools. Either way the dealer will have to activate (turn on) the CD- Changer with their PST2. If you live in the SF bay area Jeff and I can help you install it.

Get your part numbers and shop around. I would suggest Carnewal.com or SunCoast Porsche in Florida or Sunset Porsche in Oregon.

Is there a complete CD kit?
See the listing in the linked post.

We still need to do this on Raman's 2003. The problem is, I have not been able to get Raman's car and a factory install car together at the same time. When Kirby and his factory installed changer car shows up Raman is not there. When Raman shows up with his parts Kirby's car is not there. Jeff
