Where can I go to get the correct aerokit for a 99 996 narrow body 6-speed. I have searched the forum, but I can't find anything but installation instructions.

I am having some bodywork done and thought since they have the paint gun out, I might add some downforce and style to my 996. These guys do great work, but are not familiar with porsche.

I think that OEM would be the best fit from what I have read, but I don't know where to go to look at choices. Please feel free to show off your kits with pictures. Some of you have beautiful cars, I would love to come close to some of your work.

Is it possible to buy GT3 bumpers and rockers and install them on my car?

Thank you,

Mark :renntech:

If you look at my car in the Garage it has a factory aerokit. I agree that the fit is better on the properly installed factory parts. Several companies occasionally have sales on complete the aerokit cup (the version for your car) package. Try Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost (link at the top of page) or check out some of the vendors in Excellence Magazine.

I agree the OEM kit is the way to go just had it installed on my '99 996 front bumper and skirts only. Just beware of Departstop on E-bay and LA Porsche Dismantellers. I would try sunset, suncoast and brandywine.

What about installation ? Is it doable on your own or best left to the dealership ? Any guides ? I like Loren's aerokit. Is there a name for that kind of a kit ?
