I've used 10-40 syn since I owned the car 99 911 996 but just put 15-50 syn in. The car seems to run rough. Any input? The weather is about 80F.

When is it running rough? On a cold engine, when fully warmed up, idling, cruising, all the above? Make sure dip stick and oil cap are on tight.

Idling. The dip and cap are on tight.

As a frame of reference, I am running 15W-50 currently is colder temperatures than you (I live in NYC) and have NOT noticed any problem with a rough idle. Does it idle roughly on cold start or when warmed up, or both?
