I am betting you are looking at the BBS LM's on Ebay, as I was too. They really won't fit a narrow body 996. I used the offset calculator on 1010tires.com to check. The standard whell is 10x18 with a 65 offset. With the 11x18 and a 56 offset it moves the outer edge of the tire/wheel out 22mm. It will hit badly, evne if the fenders are rolled. I have some experience with this as I bought a set of 18x18 with a 48 offset, which moves the wheel/tire out only 17mm and they are rubbing everytime I hit a big bump. I was almost goning to bid on the LM's but them did the calcs. Hope I saved you some trouble.
