3.4L conversion complete

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody. I am new here but you may know me from that other board. Just finished 3.4L conversion of 97 Boxster. We installed a e-gas motor even though everyone said it could not be done. I up loaded vehicle in garage area. It has not been on the road yet because of weather in MN. This vehicle previously had a 2.5L with a TPC supercharger. If anybody is interested in supercharger let me know.

Well done. Do you have any pictures of the install process? And how much are you charging for the original TPC setup? Was there any issues with overheating and detonation at high RPMs with the TPC?

It would be great to add an "egas conversion" section to Todd's tutorial.

Thank you Jinster but those guys @ Flat 6 did the work. I believe that they used the original boxster fuel rails, harness and ecu but the 996 plemun. I posted most of my pics in the garage area but i will see if i can find some more. I will let the TPC SC go for $2000.00 Complete. It has the split second digibox that i purschased new from tpc

I purchased it used on ebay from that famous Trent Carter. We did not have any problems with it but my 2.5l started smoking real bad after about 10,000m. We replaced the oil separator - No help. And that was enough for me. We suspect either blown head gasket or cracked cylinder but we did not even do a compression check or leak down test. JES

Hello Auspuffed, I don't know how i would do that. I think that the guys @ Flat 6 used the original boxster fuel rails, harness and ecu flashed by FVD but the 996 plemun then the rest of the install was the same. Todd's tutorial is very good about the best you can find on the web. Here's a pic of motor built up.
