  1. Not having removed an ignition switch before in this car a general probing about shows some possibilities. I went upside down and below the steering wheel to ascertain the target. I moved a shiny aluminum box and was able to touch the switch. It is a tight fit to be sure. Getting upright again I removed the 2 sheet metal screws, plastic cover and then the two 10mm bolts on either side of the lower dash knee bolster, removed the ash tray and the two 10mm bolts there but the dash is still well supported and is attached to what? The glove box is equally fixed in even after removing all the obvious screws etc. Another idea that looked promising would be to remove the air vent just left of the ignition switch but have not figured out that puzzle yet. It then occurred to me that surely someone has done this before and I am in hopes I just came to the right place. Thank you!
