Hi, i have a problem, my 997 Turbo has a fault in the airbag system. I changed the front right airbag sensor, must have done something stupid with my Piwis 2 Tester, because now the airbag warning light on the dash is blinking. Does anyone know what’s wrong? thanks Peter

“Thank you worked like a charm!!!! I have a foxwell, getting error codes 31 ignition circuit - side airbag , driver and 21 ignition circuit, driver no idea what to do. Horn works depending on its mood. “ Please help Any suggestions would help. I’ve taken off the door panels and disconnected and reconnected the airbags. -
I have been getting a code 29 and airbag warning light, described as; drivers side airbag ignition circuit on my 2003, 996 Convertible 911. I've looked through all the posts but was not able to find anything on this particular fault. Has anyone had this or know of any problem areas that would cause this fault? Thanks in advance for any info.... Ted -
In contrast to common airbag warning light problems, the airbag warning light (dashboard panel) of my 997-1 Carrera S is not lighting up when the ignition key is inserted. It remains 'off' when the engine is running. (All other warning lights are normal--they go out once the engine is running.) I then performed the process of calling warning messages on the dashboard using the operating lever. No 'airbag system fault' message was displayed. According to the Driver's Manual, this has to be checked out by the workshop. The one and only one authorized Porsche workshop here is too busy to deal with it and I have to wait for 3 weeks! Meanwhile, I can't help worrying whether the airbags still work while I'm on the road. A search of this forum failed to reveal similar problems reported. Could it be a simple warning light bulb problem? If so, can it be replaced? Any advice would be appreciated, please. -
Hello, So the day after I replaced my clutch (http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/40310-diy-clutch-replacement-997/page__fromsearch__1) I had a very nice surprise!!! My airbag light decided to blink to welcome a new day and a new project...you can only imagine how happy I was!!! Long story short, I took my car to my local mechanic and he told me that sometimes after the battery is off for a few hours parts that are near the end of life can be damaged after a new juice (I guess, they work if nothing happens but after the battery was off for nearly 12hrs the part did not take the power...i don't know). So I have these two errors: 805A and 80F9. My mechanic said that I need to replace the passenger sensor...does anyone know the part number for this? Is this a simple fix, I'm guessing remove the bumper and replace the part (and pray for nothing new)? Thank you for your help!!!! Cheers, Leonardo.
