1. German Porsche first aid kit

I can't imagine a German car NOT having a first aid kit, let alone a Porsche. They are required by law in Germany, but why not included here??? Porsche can't be that miserly, can they? :-l

My Audi and my wife's Benz came with them · 10/28/2005

  2. Removal of airbag warning labels on sunvisors

I couldn't stand these labels, so I removed them using a solvent and lots of patience. · 10/23/2005

  3. Lloyd's front floor mats with red "Porsche" block lettering

Great fit, great look. Shipping and broker charges were a royal rip though. How can a pair of mats that cost $107 CDN end up costing over $185 CDN when landed? Easy. I think Nextauto.com overcharged me on the FedEx ground shipping costs and then · 10/08/2005

  4. Rear centre console ashtray, ashtray holder, and emergency brake cover in aluminum look

An ashtray for $200???? And I wouldn't dare let anyone smoke in my car (ejection from seat at speed!!!). I gained a new appreciation as to how expense Porsche accessories can be. But I like the look of continuity... · 10/08/2005

  5. Rear in-dash spoiler switch

Now disconnected due to install of aerokit rear spoiler. I will be selling the switch in the near future. · 10/08/2005

  6. Aluminum pedal set and dead pedal

Pedals all have a raised surface treatment that forces superior foot adhesion. Constructed of aircraft grade aluminum and all stainless steel hardware. Sourced through www.rennline.com · 10/08/2005

  7. Gauge trim rings in brushed aluminum

Sets out the gauges against the black dash nicely. Sourced through www.rennline.com. Installed by myself, I first tried double-sided moulding tape but didn't hold worth beans. I then used GE Silicone (carefully!!!!) and now its no prob · 10/08/2005

  8. Front console 3 piece trim strip in aluminum look

I never liked the black plastic strips before. Somehow it looked unfiinished. The aluminum look strips offset the front dash nicely. · 10/08/2005

  9. Door pulls and compartment covers in aluminum look

Paint is easily chipped. I may replace the pulls with the original ones. · 10/08/2005

Hi Ron,

Nice 996. I very much like the idea of moding the sport seats to obtain all the functionality of the stock seats. Very innovative.
