Changing default setting of full PSE install

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am new poster to the list but it has always been a great resource while installing my full PSE on my 01 996 cab. I was wondering if there is a way to set the default for the PSE to be closed rather than open. I would like the exhaust to be quiet until I press the button. I tried reversing the vacuum lines on the black and white check valve as suggested somewhere on the board but that didn't work. Thanks chris. :help:

Hi Chris,

I thought of that as well. The only easy way I could come up with is to add a air control valve with a vacuum pilot control. It would work, but at 35mph the sport exhaust would kick in( system would be reversed). I did not want to modify the electical circuit for the 35 mile cutout so I did not pursue this direction. The nice thing about this approach is all you would do is change the vacuum lines. Easy to go back to stock.

Stan
