    Not a problem... actaully I know how to remove the door panel... I can't believe the body shop didn't. They broke the door handle and put dents around the door from prying out the panel. I already don't have any faith left in them. My car was in an accident back in June. I'm still fighting with the owner because the repair was not done correctly and he need to redo the repairs.

  2. Can sombody help me with a DIY or tips/picture, how I remove and install the door trim panel? I need to fix a rattle on the inside which drive me nuts.

    from my memory...

    1) remove the door mirror cover, left up and then pull. Be very careful that you don't break the tab. It's part of the gasket. If you break it you will need to replace the entire window gasket.

    2) remove the screws using a torx screwdriver. I forget the exact size

    a. remove the door handle, it's behind the round cap, carefully remove the cap,

    b. near the door mirror cover

    c. behind the rear door (see part #14, #4)

    d. pull up #16 from the door pocket cover side, you will see a screw inside

    e. carefully pry out the door bottom light, you will see a screw inside.

    3) carefully pull out the door panel. you may need to use some force.

    4) there are 9 clips that you may need to replace because you may damage it from removing them.

    What is the Porsche recommended tire pressure for 06-07 GT3? I asked the dealer and they said 36/44. That seems a bit too high. Try to get a reference for MSC tires when used on street. My car is a 05 C2S.

    In competition as a rule your tyres when hot should equal the recommended road pressures provided by the manufacturer. This applies to 18" and 19" "r" spec tyres such as fitted to the GT3 997.

    32 PSI Front and 39 PSI would be an appropriate pressure for regular use when cold and this pressuers should be maintained as a "hot" pressure during competition.

    For road use when "wet" using the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups I suggest increasing the PSI to 35 Front and 43 Rear .

    Thanks. I think I will stick with the C2S recommended pressure for road use.

    over price. even for porsche. It said it's built for strenght, but the key is that the wheel to be mount/dismount has no load, just the weight of the wheel, plus you are only using it for a very short period of time (a few mintues at most). Way over engineered.

    I just got a set of aluminum pedals with foot rest.

    Do I just mount the new foot rest on top of the oem foot rest? If not, does anyone know how to remove the oem foot rest? I have 2005 911 Carrera S.

    sorry for the real late reply. I got them from carnewal for 199 euro. it's a Ruf lookalike. I think you can get the from other vendors on ebay for cheaper price. I still haven't put them on yet!

  7. This is my personal experience. I think that most dealers are just plain SUCKS. I have a 05 C2S.

    Last year, I bought my PSE from Brandywine Porsche. I called various local dealer and asked about the installation. They all quoted me from $1000 to 10 hours for the install with the switch. I mentioned to them about the TSB which only said 3.5 hours. They all said if you need to get the job done right, it will take all day to do it. So I finally have a local garage install the exhaust without the switch but have the vacuum lines so I can manually turn on/off.

    Recently, I have noticed a rattle from the passenger rear. I took the car to my dealer and they said the rattle is from the actuator rod of the exhaust baffle. I do remember there is a slight rattle before they were installed. They told me that since the PSE were not installed by them, it does not cover under warranty. They said they would need 4 hours to drop both exhaust and then another 4 hours to fix the rattle, but can't promise that it will go away. What a complete BS! I didn't even bother to argue with them. So, I said "forget it". They charged my 1 hour labor ($137) just to find the stupid rattle which probably took them 5 min.

    I like to take my car to the dealer for service, but they charge outrageous amount. Do they think we are jall stupid? :cursing:

    Now, I just leave the PSE in loud mode and the rattle has pretty much stopped.

  8. I like my wheels and tires to be as flush to the side of the fenders as possible for one...

    My second reason is because I was always planning on going up to a 305/30/19 size rear tire. The 5mm spacers ensures that the tire isn't any closer to the suspension or the inner side of the wheel well. Putting all of the extra 10mm on the outside will also make the rear tires look as flush as the front ones.

    ...and that's why I bothered.
