Sorry if this has been addressed already. I have a 2001 996TT with a PCM in it. I believe this is a PCM1 version. I would like to add a Bluetooth phone kit to the system and would like the mute function on the PCM to work. Does anyone know if the PCM1 has an A3 pin for the phone mute? Also, can the phone kit have the audio sent through the PCM unit? All the postings seem to be for a PCM2 unit. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I am a new member to this group.

To everybody that has a PCM1 in their cars and need to mute the radio: There is a phone prep already installed in the 996 in the center console just behind the gear shift to mute the radio and get the necessary power for attaching a third party phone in the car. I just used it for a Bluetooth kit, and it works great by muting the radio. No audio can be transmitted into the PCM1, but atleast the radio will mute when using the phone.

The oil drain plugs on the turbos are on each side of the engine. Here is the picture on one side of the engine:
