  1. 2002 C2 Cab, 3.6l engine..

has anyone done the coolant tank replacement on this engine? The tank seems to be larger and more difficult to remove as the fuel rail gets in the way of the bottom hose connection to the coolant tank.

Someone mentioned lowering the engine an inch. Does anyone have the infomation to accomplish that? It seems that that would get the fuel rail out of the way and the tank would slide back in.

    Thanks for any help

  2. I just ordered an Alpine PDX-4.150 amp. It has a really compact form factor and fits really well in place of the CD Changer ( I dry fitted one at the local hi-fi shop). Alpine has 2 other models (2 channel and 2 channel) with the identical form factor and they are stackable!

I will update when I receive the unit and get it installed along with the Focal 100 KP's in the dash and the Focal 13KS (5" subs) in the doors.

I have a 2002 cab with bose hi-fi option along with the Pioneer Z1 I installed earlier this year.

Thank everyone for all the help provided in these forums.

Please view attached image of PDX installed in place of factory CD changer. I fabricated a simple sheet metal bracket (using the cd changer bracket as a template). I left the bottom area open by framing the bracket with 1/2" square tube to allow all of the wiring to be attached from below.

Then bracket allows space for another PDX unit to be stacked on the front of this one if I elect to go nuts and power 2 more channels for the rear speakers.
