  1. All my settings reset too: Bass/Treble/AP/Surround. I don't think I ever had a problem with CDs unless they were scratched. I posted this question on another website and someone suggested that this could be due to a faulty Comfort Settings Control Unit. My service advisor said he's going to check for a faulty ground. I'm leaving my truck with them next week for the entire week while I'm on vacation so they can troubleshoot. I'll post their findings. Hopefully this is the last time.
  2. I already tried setting the memory in the radio but no luck. Fortunately this is pretty much my only major problem. :clapping:
  3. I would set my radio (CDR-23) bass and treble settings for the FM/AM/CD and every few days or so it would revert back to the factory settings. I've had the radio changed 4 times already and even the amplifier changed but the problem still persists. I've already spoken to the service manager and 1-800-PORSCHE and all they suggest is to replace the radio and/or amplifier. There must be another solution, I can't be THAT unlucky as to get 4 defective radios. Could there be another problem?
  4. Does anyone have the TSB number or description for this fix? Did they reseal all the doors or just the affected doors?
  5. Unfortunately we're stuck with the same plastic/carpet. I have the beige interior and that REALLY shows the dirt. The Rennline cover solved that problem. I didn't even drill it into place like they recommended, I just slid it under the plastic side panel and used velcro on the back. I also got a matching cover for the parking brake from this guy. http://www.tm-techmark.com/touareg/deadpedal.htm He also makes a dead pedal cover but I liked the Rennline one better.
  6. I got this set, it looks pretty close to the rest of the pedals if you have the aluminum pedals. http://www.eagleday.com/cayenne1.html
  7. Are you referring to the whistling sound when the fan is turned up high? I get this sound when the windows and doors are all closed and the fan is on high. Check if this happens with the car stopped. The dealer couldn't figure out why this is happening and how to fix it. I'm going in again for my 20k service and I'll ask if they figured it out. It seems to be a common issue in the Cayennes on the lot. If this is your problem, try opening the window a little or the sunroof. that seems to relieve the air pressure and stop the noise.
  8. I had Continentals that lasted ~12k miles and currently have Pirellis that will probably last 9-10k miles. The selection for 275-45-19 size is pretty slim, has anyone tried putting 285-45-19 on these wheels? There seems to be a better selection and there are longer treadwear ratings available ie Pirelli Scorpions.
  9. Loren, I have a pump oil extractor that I purchased from Griots Garage that I have used for my other vehicles. Can this be used for my Cayenne S? Would it get all the oil even though it appears that there are 2 oil reservoirs? Also, where is the oil filter? Thanks.
  10. Since the sound is different, is it much louder in the car now or is it tolerable? Any codes set off? I've read that others had their airbag light come on after installation which doesn't seem to make sense to me.
  11. There's a hook on the inside of the gas door for the cord.
  12. The headlight condensation should resolve itself in the next day or two. Most likely they replaced the moisture absorbing pack in your headlight assembly. It should absorb the remaining moisture in a day or two. Good luck with your other problems.
  13. I've taken my Cayenne to the McKenna in Norwalk and I think they're a bit indifferent to my problems. They don't even have loaners. I had a chance to hang out and chat with the tech as he was working on my truck and he was pretty cool but the service mgr. seem less interested. I was going to try Newport Beach next time. What made you think they weren't so good? I'm in Irvine too, located in Northwood, where are you located? Crevier BMW really knows how to treat their owners right. Porsche dealers seem to have a take it or leave it attitude. I'm already looking for an independent shop for routine maint.
  14. Are they supposed to blink when I activate the directional signal? If they don't, they should!!! :soapbox: I've seen some sidelights that are clear, has anyone done this upgrade and was it easy?
