I have a 2000 and it just started happening to me as well. I can hear the motor going, but no fluid coming out.
Ideas would be appreciated.

Performance Exhaust

I just got my car back today with GHL exhaust installed (also a 2000 2.7L). Sounds GREAT accelerating and FANTASTIC decelerating with a little burble. It may be too loud for some and there is some BOOM at low rpm but it is just what I wanted.
I also have an EVO hi-flow intake and GIAC chip.
If you are in the DFW metroplex, I would be happy to meet you somewhere so you can here it. I'll try for a sound clip this weekend.
Mike.
