  1. Do all tiptronic boxsters have E Gas i would of thought that with the way tiptronic works you wouldn't be able to have cable driven accelerators.

i am planning on retrofitting tiptronic to my 98 2.5 as i picked up the gearbox really cheap.

when i'm doing this i am planning on fitting cruise control and maybe if possible upgrade the electrics to face lift as i will have to replace the wiring loom

now i have a few questions will a facelift wiring loom plug into the gearbox.

    do i need E Gas

Is there anything i need to look out for

  2. The sleeve issues were solved before 2.7 engines.

Then how come in every posting about the issue somebody says that it is most likely a cylinder sleeve?

because that is a symptom of that fault and it was common with the early 996 engines bt rare in the boxsters the sleeves can be fixed IF it is that autofarm can do that alternatively if you do want to replace your engine with a bigger one all the 996 engines will fit with only slight modifications. there is an instruction manual available on this site for it.
