I was wondering if anyone had swapped over transmissions with different codes, Thanks for the link but dosent really tell me what i need to know.

Looking for a gearbox for my car and been told from a breakers there's at least 3 different transmission  codes for my car (c2 manual 3.4) with is fitted with a  Getrag box with lsd.

Anyone know if these boxes are interchangeable?

Im not to worried about losing the lsd if i have to.

Went out to the car this morning turned the key dead nothing at all. 

Popped the cover off the battery to find the earth lead had come off!

So for once a quick easy fix.

While driving home tonight ive noticed that when i break the radio flicks off for a second also the headlight flick at the same time.

Also not noticed if i turn on the heated rear window it has the same effect on the radio.

Then lastly got out and my remote locking on the key has also stopped working.

Any ideas? 

All sorted now, The cable had pulled apart under the car.

Ok so just changed my stater motor (What a pig of a job) 

Everything back together but now the car is idling hi, Looking at the photo you can see the flap is open a bit and the cable pulley is  not resting on the stop. Should it be?

Can anyone see what the problem is?

Hi Mitch i was just refuring to the link that Hilux2400 posted not seen yours.

Bit baffled now the link you posted is linked to a vid i done a couple of years ago nothing to do with cars?

No just the one button on my fob.

• All dry under the seats and no sign of any water damage or damp, Only have the one function on the key and holding it down does nothing either.

No noise at all from the car and the other key doesn't work at all.

New battery in today fob is working but not locking the car?

Once or twice ive unlocked the car with the door lock opened the door and the horn has beeped. 

If i don't turn the ignition on the alarm (horn) would off.

Two beeps mean there is an alarm fault. One beep means one or more zones is reading "open".

No nothing at all no light flashing on the remote either.

Well i don't know at the moment everything is going off as normal lights wise.

Wife says i should name the car Carrie  

Car will lock as normal with the key in the door just not off the remote. 

Ok just picked up a 1999 C2 and part of the deal was the owner would fit a new battery.

Came home last night when to lock it and the central locking off the key is not working.

Next i notice the door light will not go off unless i lock the car manually with the key.

Not a good start to Porsche ownership, any help would be appreciated on this.

To update now the door lights are going up but the clock lights miles computer are staying on unless the doors are locked.
