Thanks for your responses and sorry for my late reply,
I tested the O2 sensors and one was showing the wrong resistance out so I replaced it with an original.
Cleared the two error codes, drove it for a week. No error codes returned.
Drove it for another week and the engine warning light has come back on.
The only error code is P1602 - 660 CAN timeout - instrument cluster, I'm charging the battery now.
Tiptronic light is still flashing, ATF level is fine and no codes found under the Tiptronic module.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Hi there,
My '99 996 Carrera has just covered 130K miles (brought it at 30K) and the engine warning light is flashing as is D and 4 Gearbox lights.
Last full service was about 3 years ago. Filters, oil, brake, plugs I do my self annually.
I've plugged it into my laptop - Durametric and i'm getting error codes P1115 and P1119.
P1115
Porsche fault code 13 - Resist. limit O2S ah. of cat. conv. B1
exceeds limit valueP1119
Porsche fault code 5 - Resist. limit O2S ah. of cat. conv. B2
exceeds limit valueI did change one of the O2 sensors about 6 months ago and all seemed fine.
Any Ideas on the best way to test the O2 sensors as I had to remove the catalytic converter last time as it was so tight.
Also I'm in the UK so temperatures are maximum 8 degrees centigrade and garage has a stripped Mercedes 250SL (restoration project), so no space to get my Porsche inside.
Thanks
Ravi
Alarm double beep
in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)

Hi,
My 99 996 has started beeping twice when I press the key fob.
It locks and then immediately unlocks.
Also when opening the drivers side door, the window goes down when handle is pulled but goes straight back up when the handle is released. So the window obstructs the door closing.
I have the following Durametric Alarm errors:
Voltage failure during alarm
output
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1
Voltage failure at terminal 30
with alarm system active
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1
Control locking synchronization
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 2
K lead
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1
W lead (DME immobilizer)
Status: not present
Frequency counter: 1
What's the best way to proceed with fixing this?
Thanks
Ravi
