Hello all. I recently hit a deer about a month ago and totally wrecked the front passenger side. With new parts on the way I wanted to know how to remove the passenger side fender so that I could install the new one. Any other pointers would be appreciated. Wanted to upload picture but it isn’t allowing me to do so.

Hello everyone. I was going 15 over and I came to a decline I didn’t know was there and my car caught some air and the Roll protection bars deployed. They’re spring loaded. Does anyone know how to put them back down? It won’t let me post a picture of them. I’m in a 2000 911 Carrera 2 Cab.

Thank all of you. I’m driving a C2. Looking forward to jumping up a size. I’ve got my eyes set on some wheels, and they come with 295, so wanted to make sure I would clear. Brand new 888s with the wheels

Hello, I’m running stock wheels and tire sizes on my 996 Carrera Cab. I was wondering if I’d be able to fit a 295/30r18 on my car without any rub. Anyone familiar? Thank you.

So if I wanted to do it I’d have to get the front spoiler as well
6 hours ago, Loren said:Possibly - but IMHO you don't want to do that.
Porsche front spoilers and rear spoilers are matched set - to keep the car from being to light at the front or rear. An imbalance of the spoilers can cause a very unusual (read BAD) handling at speed.

My car is a 996 Cab. I’m looking to make it a gt3 look alike but according to Dealer the coupe and the Convertibles have different deck lid sizes. Is that correct. If so anyone know the dimensions? Looking to get the 996 Cup Wing and Decklid. Thank you for all input.

Hello,
I plan to order some muffler bypass pipes and just swap my mufflers back in when it’s time for emissions test. Will removing the mufflers before having the pipes and driving with no mufflers melt the bumper? I would have the pipes in about a month or so

I’m gonna take out all the spark plugs and coils tonight and re install. Maybe they cross threaded. Worth a shot.

It’s a 2000. I had a CEL telling me fuel was running lean. Changed the MAF and that went away. Give me about 30 mins and I can tell you what it’s reading at. In a live data I did before it was at 5.25. But I’ll check again to make sure it’s same as before

"the last one is an Oxygen sensing code." <- what was the code in addition to P0300?
P0300
P0302
P0304
P0305
P1126
P1133
All the codes that are there now. The 6,1, and 3rd went away apparently. And the 2nd popped up

I meant on the live data it’s the 02B1S1

You can also try your local PCA Chapter to see if a member has Durametric and would let you use it to evaluate your running parameters. 34K is pretty low mileage for an O2 sensor to go bad, but stuff happens. Having an OBDII reader is worth its price. Durametric is the best. i don't know if a standard OBDII reader will tell you which one is acting up...probably just give you a P code for O2 sensors.
Remember that the DME is using things like the O2 sensors to determine how the engine is running, and then it makes adjustments on the fly. The misfires are probably a result of one (or more) of the O2 sensors acting up. Tackle it first.
So I have an Obd2 reader. But just not a durametric. I know it’s worth the money but have been spending my fun money on parts. I do have live readings. On the scanner I believe they are the shrtft1&2 and longft1&2. Is that correct?

I don’t have a Durametric unfortunately. Maybe I can find a shop that has one that will let me use it there. Car has 34k original.

Hello all,
So after replacing all the spark plugs, ignition coils, and fixing a vacuum leak. I have finally gotten the check engine light to go away. But it just came on and the codes it’s throwing are weird. P300 random cylinder misfire and it’s throwing codes that are saying all cylinders are misfiring and the last one is an Oxygen sensing code. Anyone have any clue what could be causing this?

Hello all,
I have done a lot of work to get my 996 going and there are just few things in the way of me being able to smog it and register it. The check engine light came on and it’s showing P1128 and P1130. Any ideas on how to correct those 2 things? Also some minor things I’m experiencing. The passenger window doesn’t go down when opened or when handle is pulled. If I manually push it down it goes down, so it’s trying but not able to pull it down. I tried resetting the levels by holding down the window all the way up and all the way down. Lastly, when I manually lock the door, often times it locks both the driver and passenger doors. But I’ve been stuck at times where it will not lock the passenger door and I’m left in a rut. Then I wake up in the morning and it’s working normally. Any ideas on that? Thank you for reading.
Thanks,
Alex

Is there an instruction video or anything like that on removing the fender?
