Got it! Thanks for the help.

If you remove the 3 fastening nuts does the whole mounting plate come out?
-
So I got these aftermarket lights and installed them last night. The drivers side light popped in and fitted perfectly within 30 seconds! The right side would pop and lock into place, but the fit is just not right. The top of the light sticks out like 10mm. (See image below) I must have worked on it for 1.5 hours trying different things to get it in. This bring us to my post topic..
How do you adjust the mounting bracket?
I've only been able to find a couple post about adjusting the mounting bracket with nothing more than an engineering drawing of the adjustment screws. But how does one go about getting to the bottom of the adjustment screws? Looks like to me that there are two ways.
1) Remove bumper, air duct, and then possibly the radiator.
2) Remove the right wheel and then the plastic wheel well cover thing (sorry I don't know the real name lol)
Is there a better way?

Can someone tell me what the differences are between cheap and expensive ignition coils? Anyone try some of cheap ones found on eBay?

Was there a PDF download for this project or any pictures? I'm looking to do something similar and would love to see the final product.

This forum is great! I went out to lunch and topped off the coolant level.. light went out.
Thank you for all the support everyone.

Thanks Loren.
We did not vacuum fill the coolant because we didn't have the correct adapter for the 986. In my research I've found the UVIEW Airlift system. Is there a particular model that I need? Or can I get an adapter to use with our current system (Snap on)?

I just replaced the water pump on my 98 Boxster; however, I still have the blinking warning light. I assume my coolant level is low so i'll add more this afternoon.
My questions are:
Will the light turn off automatically or is it something that needs to be manually reset?
Also, what is the normal operating coolant temperature? (mine currently runs around 200)
Thanks inn advance!
Cheers

I have a 98 Porsche Boxster that needs a new water pump. Any advice on brand or a good website to purchase one from would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Cruise Control Question
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)

Added info
Can anyone explain the behavior of a cruise control that is not properly grounded?
My Car: 1998 Boxster 2.5L
The CC light comes on when I start the car, then goes out after a few seconds.
The CC light comes on when I press in the CC button on the stalk.
The CC light stays on when I try to activate CC. (pushing stalk forward)
The CC light momentarily goes out when I reset CC (pull stalk backwards)
THEN after attempting to activate CC a bunch of times the CC light will go out and not come back on until I restart the car. Anyone know what this means?
Here is my particular run down of events:
Now I'm kinda wondering if the random black wire I found could have been a poorly installed ground for the cruise control??
I'm in the process of upgrading to a double din stereo and have already removed the instrument cluster to run the microphone/ GPS lines how I want. I'm going to go ahead and remove the steering wheel and see what I see.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
