  1. I've got a 05 Boxster S with 32,000 miles go into Tiptronic Emergency Run Mode - Dash indicator says it's in 4th gear. It shifts from start until 4th gear and won't go over 3000rpm. I'm going to guess this is limp mode.
I was backing into a parking spot after a 30-40 minute drive and when I put the car in park the Tiptronic Emergency Run Message came on the dash. I tuned the car off and re-started the car and the Message changed to put car on P or N then the Tiptronic Emergency Run Message came back on.
I drove it straight to Tacoma Porsche and dropped it off. The service writer has never seen that message and cannot look at it for a few days.
Anybody got any suggestions or maybe a good Porsche mechanic around the Tacoma Washington area?

The day before this issue occurred I had new tires put on the front. Is there a sensor or calibration they may have damaged or missed that would effect the transmission?
