Thats right! I just picked up a 2003 996 4s and everything is in German. I still have to adjust the mirrors every time I get in the car which is irritating me.
Does anyone know how I can get an English owners manual, or if there is a site to download it for this car!!!

I already feel better......Thanks for the quick reply!

I just bought a 2003 996 4s yesterday with 38000 klm. The car was inspected by Porsche 2 days ago and it was found to be OK. Today while driving around the oil gauge skipped between 3-5 and 3 or 4 times it went down to zero and bounced back up to 5. The engine warning indication came on and freaked me out!! I checked the oil (dip stick), it was slightly low and added 1 litre. It continued doing the same thing. The car still has 15 months of warranty left. Does anyone know whats going on? I am a little scared as this is my first Porsche and I am praying I wont be having problems as of now!!!! Also, why would the techs have missed this at porsche?

Hi there Niko,
Yes the car is truly amazing....actually I just purchased mine ...a 2003 C4S, 6 spd with 38,000 klm only 4 weeks ago. Actually its almost identical to yours! Can't seem to wipe that silly grin of my face while I'm driving. I cant wait to take it out of Greece for a real spin!!
