I picked up this 2nd boxster and was going through all the typical checks and found many incorrect fuses in the fuse box. I corrected that and now the car starts and runs but none of the gauges
or dash lights will come on. Headlight, radio, climate control all work fine. I checked all the fuses and all are correct and were tested with a probe. I checked the light switch at every position ( I read that this is on the same circuit) and could not effect any change on the dash. I have been driving this around for a week and all was fine before I fixed the incorrect fuses. ( some were twice the value rating of the diagram) This happens to be a tiptronic ( so my kids can drive it) it that has any effect on the issue. I got the fuse diagram from the internet.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Dash guages and ligts do not work.

OK. I fixed it. Essentially I reset the cluster. I had checked the fuse (Row B, number 1) and it was fine. SO. I pulled it again, and then turned the car on. Then turned it off - Reinserted the fuse and then tried again. Everything is now working normally. Hope this helps someone. This is a copy of an older post. I DID not figure this out on my own.
