  1. Could someone please help me indicating what the following part number 996 426 011 07 corresponds to?

    I think it has something to do with the OEM shifter kit, but want to know what exactly it is and whether it fits my 2003 ROW 996 C4.

    TIA!

    Nikos.

  2. ABS Fault 4440 -- Steering-angle sensor

    - The PSM function is switched off.

    - The ABS function is switched off

    - The ESD function is switched off

    - The ASR function is switched off

    "If the fault codes 4400 Transverse acceleration sensor, 4420 Rate of turn sensor and 4440 Steering-angle sensor are displayed together, there may be an open circuit in the circuit to control module terminal 39."

    If you want the full diagnostic procedure - send me a PM.

    Many thanks for the rapid response Loren, PM sent

  3. Hi,

    This is one of my first posts, but i have been reading the board for a long time with great interest.

    Car; 2001 996 C4 Coupe Tiptronic RoW lhd

    Problem; ABS / PSM lights come on now and then, but can be reset by turning the ignition off / on.

    I have read up on this problem with the ABS / PSM lights and can confirm that i have a clean original air filter and that the air flow meter is new (less than 1000Km)

    So while reading / checking the fault codes with my Durametric tester i got the following info, (this was the only fault i got)

    9X6 ABS 5.7 Selected

    About to get fault codes

    moduleType = ABS57

    dtcCount = 1

    Fault Number: 4440

    Description: Unknown fault code: 4440

    Repair Infomation: Unknown fault code

    Checked here on the board for "fault code: 4440" and variations of, but could not find anything, so i contacted Durametric here is the reply

    Hi Mark,

    Fault code 4440 shows up as unknown fault code, because it is missing in the Porsche documentation for ABS 5.7 see attached. This issues has come up before and I have been told that this fault code means “Steering Angle Sensor” but I have had no way to validate this with the documentation.

    Best Regards,

    Durametric Software

    So my question is, can anyone confirm this (i have no reason to doubt this), or does anyone have any other info that might help me solve this problem.

    Thanks for your time

    Mark
