  1. Has anyone used other clutch parts + flywheel not from Porsche?

I am looking at a new DMF + clutch assembly (and fo course the RMS while in there) in the near future. I was considering saving some money by ordering non-porsche parts (LUK makes them all). Any advice here? Is it smarter to just use the Genuine Porsche parts and scrap the $400+ savings (DMF savings is $300 alone - $900 for Porsche, $650 for LUK)? Or will LUK parts work just as well?

Also, who do you guys use for ordering parts online (good business practices online + good prices)?

    Thanks!!

Luk is original brand on the 2,7 l model. Both flywheel and cluch.

I think it's hard to find sachsparts for the base Boxster

Just did my clutch and Luk works great!

  2. I had this question on PPBB earlier whithout success.

When I run my engine at 2200 rpm there is a whistling sound from the hole in front of the gasfillercap. (not the draining hole below)

I can feel that air is being sucked into the hose and sometimes it's starts to whistle.

Can someone tell me if this is normal (except the sound) and what should I do to get rid of It

    Of course: it's a 2000 base Box

  3. I'm planning on an import of a us Boxster 2,7 00 to Europe.

Is there a big differance between the us and eu models. I noticed that the us models have four cat converters,is it like this in EU.

Also, can the cathalythic converters melt down inside and make a high backpressure.

I have a lot of sounds in my cats when I shut down the engine, and there is a lack of power on high rpms.

This clicking noise makes me a little bit worried, even if I just drive slowly around the block it sounds like I finished a Le Mans race
