I have one, and it makes a nice sound, but doesn't add any noticeable power.

I use "Oil Flo Saftey Solvent Cleaner." It is water soluable, so you can use it diluted. I've found a lot of the rubber marks come off diluted, but I usually just spray it on and wipe it off, and then rinse real good. It does take the wax off, but I have been using it for 2 years and have not seen any impact on the paint. If you go this route, shop around for it - you can buy it through car care places, but contractors also use it, and I've found it through contractor supply houses cheaper.

I will give this a try, I know where to get some of this stuff.

Turtle Wax has a spray Tar & bug remover which I have found takes off just about anything without harming the paint. This may not be strong enough depending on the amount of rubber stuck to your paint

I have tried that in the past, it didn't get much stuff off.

No it isn't brake dust, it is rubber, I was running hard on the PS2's and the track dried up very quickly and the PS2's melted faster then I would have ever imagined. I first thought it was paint or tar, but it is definitely rubber.

I have heard that WD40 works as well, have you tried that?

I have a Touareg that I use to tow my Porsche to the track, the hitch is the same for both vehicles.

The bolts are a single use only bolt and they cost about $8 each from a VW dealer. I am not certain if the VW part is compatible, but the wiring should end in the rear load area, most likely on the Right side of the load area. There is an electrical box that needs to connect inside to the wires to the vehicle and then another wiring harness runs down to the hitch for connecting the trailer. This control box allows the vehicle to control signals and lighting on the trailer, as well it will tell you if you have lighting errors on your trailer. I also installed a brake controller on mine.

It is possible to connect the trailer electronics to the tail lights, but this may cause a voltage issue and start throwing fault codes. Also you are driving a CTT, and this is too cheap of a way to solve the problem

I track my 997C2S a fait amount, and have a lot of melted rubber on the wheel wells and cannot seem to remove it.

Anyone know of a product that will remove this safely?

The car is really designed for 93 octane, even with Cali. 91 the car is losing 8-10rwhp.

I recently filled up with about 4:1 ratio of 100 RON racing gas to 91 RON, which works out to about 93 RON. I like to think there was an improvement in performance, but if there was, it was slight and not really worth the extra thirty bucks! I confess though, it was fun testing the difference!

I have only seen leaded 100 octane at the track, is there an unleaded version available?

As for my filling, I always use the best gas that is available. I get 94 at Chevron, except when I am in Washington state.

have just made an appointment with my Porsche dealer to go in and do the hand-over reset, cost $65. Will update this thread with results

That $65 is the least of my worries, they are going try and get my 'stuck' CD out of the PCM if not replacement is $2600 for the complete new unit! I say bull... my warranty was over 04/30/09 car has 25kmiles

I had a battery failure and lost all electronics except for the headlights. I was told by the dealer that they reset all the computers and recharged the battery. Problem Solved
