Update, car came up to tell in driveway, pulled back into garage, turned off, locked, waited, unlocked, and tried to restart......Nothing.

Just now tried the "indy" recommended immobilizer reset. Crank but no start. So I put the jumper wire in to bypass the fuel pump relay and after several seconds of sounding like it might start it finally did ( 2 turns to start with about 4 seconds of crank over time). I then brought it to a smooth idle and while it was running I pulled the jumper out and installed the relay. It didn't stall and it's in the drive right now running. Help?

JFP, unfortunately I don't have that data. The other day I got it started with the jumper wire, while it was at idle I pulled out the jumper wire, expecting a quick stall, but the car ran for 5-6 seconds before starving of fuel. Not sure if this info helps. Thanks for your time and input.

Hi guys, I have a 2003 Boxster 2.7 that has starting issues. I can get it to start by bypassing the fuel pump relay with a jump wire, but it doesn't seem to run right when I do. Relay is good, MAF sensor new, fuel pump new last year but it's not a genuine Porsche part. CPS sensor good. When it does start after a long crank time it slowly coughs and stumbles to life, but then runs fine. No codes. Indy thinks it might be immobilizer. Last week it started fine for about 4 starts. I'm stumped. Thank you for any help. Garrett.

Sorry been out on vacation. Just did a fuel pressure check. 8 psi at crank, 18 with jumper wire, ran like crap at 20 psi, then the pump started working "good" and pressure went to 55, and car ran fine. Ordering a new pump now. JFP thanks for your help.
