Hi,
It looks good. It is like a car with a hat.

Here is a write up I did for a friend of mine.
First you need to classify your car. Go to this site and enter your car. Remember to save you password so you can modify your car later should you get racing tires, etc.
http://comp.pca-ggr.org/rulcomm_cs/web/index.php
For picking a car number go to this link to see existing numbers used. This list is not perfect.
http://www.pca-ggr.org/carnum.cgi
Then you should read the rules. You will need a suit, gloves, helmet, fire extinguisher, and 5 point seat belts. Below is the link to the rules. Look at rules 3.2 and 3.3 for time trials.
http://www.pca-ggr.org/show.cgi?id=ggrrulebook
Then come the Brey-Krause parts. You will need R-9001 for both seats and R-9003 for both seats.
http://www.ogracing.com/eshop/home.asp?categ=220
Here is the link to the g-force belts.
http://www.ogracing.com/eshop/home.asp?categ=245
Here is the fire extinguisher bracket.
http://www.ogracing.com/eshop/home.asp?categ=208
Here is the fire extinguisher. You should be able to find something less expensive. A halon extinguisher is nice but not required by the rules. The extinguisher must have a gage on it.

Here is the link for gloves, suit, helmet, and shoes.

The last thing you do is take your car to a shop and have them fill out a tech form. You will need two forms because you will also fill one out. Here is a link to the tech shops.
http://www.pca-ggr.org/techinsp.cgi
Here is the link to the tech inspection form. Once this form is filled out, you will take it to the track and get a sticker. These forms are filled out once every year.

The last thing you might need are signs with your number. Here is the site that Gary and I used. They will let you use tape.
Good luck and see you at the track. The easy part is filling the car up with gas and driving it. There is a lot here and I may have missed some hardware stuff, but call and I can help you out finding stuff.

Hi,
One shoulder harness can be atached to the rear
seat bracket that holds the rear seat up. The
other shoulder harness can be fastened to a weld tab
in the back. Look at the rear carpet and you will
see preforations that can be cut with tin snips. The
weld tabs are under them.

Hi,
Suggest you put the trailer in the gutter and drive the car
down the driveway and on to the ramps. Run the car
smooth up the ramps and do not gun it because the ramps will shoot
out of the trailer. I have not done this but I have watched others.

Hi Tool Pants,
Looks like you have a good asortment. Want
to sell any? Just kidding!
I will keep looking. I had this bad dream tha I left
my wheel lock in the dirt at a times trial event. I just
hope it's a dream.

Hi,
Just did a track event with the copaslip and no noise. This
stuff works. I am now a happy non-squeaking Porsche
owner.
Do a search for copaslip if you need the link to buy it.

Hi,
The part number for the fluid is 000-043-204-63.
Still looking.

Hi D_Man,
I track my car alot and I felt that Changing the fluid
would be good for the transmission. Thank you for the part
number. I will send this to the repair shop for their sugestion.

Hi,
I went to the McGard website and the pictures of the wheel
locks do not look like the Porsche wheel locks. I will post
a picture soon.
Paul

Hi,
I was told by a repair shop that the dealer will only sell 20 liters
of fluid. The 20 liters cost over $400.
Does anyone know where to get 4 Quarts of porsche Transmission
fluid for a tiptronic?
Paul

Hi Loren,
I saw a number in the inside of the lock.
Paul

Hi,
I bought wheel spacers and the bolts came with a new wheel lock. I
would like to buy a back up wheel lock. Anyone know where to get
them besides the dealer?
Paul
-
Hi,
It is so easy to drain that you can do it on a hill
and you do not need to jack the car. Just make
sure to add 8 quarts and check. Car needs nine
quarts.

Hi,
I had a tip switch replaced. Some how, it
broke and would wobble on the wheel. I had
it repaired under warranty. Because it was done under warranty,
they would not give me the broken switch. I think
the tip switche just pops out but I am not sure. You
might want to call the parts dealer and ask them.

Hi,
I looked through the parts cataloge and there is nothing
for steering wheel parts. I would guess that once the air
bag is removed, then you undo the steering wheel nut
and the whole wheel cones off as one unit. Is there
a wheel that you like that you want to replace with your
existing one?

Hi Loren,
The codes say Oxy. sensor control adapt. RKAT bank 1.
The other code was for bank 2.
I will look into the MAF air flow.

Hi,
My brother took his car to the dealer and
got two fault codes.
P2187
P2189
He installed a supercharger on his 2006 997 4S and keeps
getting the engine light to come on.
Thanks,
Paul
Roof rack for track wheels
in 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S)

Hi,
I did see an add for roof racks. They had three racks with tree different
prices. You would need to figure out how much weight you will need. I
will keep looking for this add.
