  1. Hi,

My friend just had his rotors replaced. He used yellow race pads

and did a lot of track events. He had some cracks between holes.

He said you can chamfer the holes to reduce squeaking. Does anyone

have any other feed back on this?

Does anyone know what the mike settings are for new and for replacing

    the rotors?

I am thinking of getting thicker pad greese to stop the squeaks. Once the

wheel is off, I will mike the rotors.

  2. I now wish I would have driven it. There was snow on the ground and didn't even think twice about it being a demo, I guess I should have. I know that proper break-in is good, but I have also been told that Porsche engines are put through some passes before they are even put in the car. It is hard for me to believe that these engines are so sensitive.

    Hi,

If you are this worried I would take the car to the dealer and have

him print out a 20 page report for your car. This report

will tell you the time and day when the car reached the rev limitier.

  3. Hi,

My brother just had a 20 page detail on his car history. The

report showed how many times he started the car from 1st. 2nd,

or 3rd gear. It told him the amount of times he hit the rev. limiter. It

told him everything except the top speed. He has a vacum leak and

it told them what side of the motor to look at. Is there any product

out there that will tell what your car has done?

  4. Hi,

If you buy the clipers, you most likely will have to buy the rotors

also. I ordered front pads for the car and I had to send them

back because they were too small. I have a 997 S with red claipers

and these are larger then 997 claipers. Be careful on your

order. Painting them just might be cheaper if all you are looking for

is looks. For stopping power, I recommend you replace the stock pads with Pagrid blue

    pads.

    Paul
