  1. Sorry about that. Had rotor on the mind this morning. I wanted to say caliper. Rotors turned out great, as did the lugs. For whatever reason the calipers are giving me a fit.. Joe
  2. Hey all.. I have read and reread searched posts. Can I remove the factory CDR23 and install a after market head unit? I want to use the factory wiring, which according to Metra, they supply a harness for V.W. By using the 70-1787 and flipping the yellow and red wire. This will allow the head unit with out messing up the computer. I really want to use the factory wiring for the speakers? Is the a harness for this MOST system? Fiber optics from what I understand can not be spliced. Is there a way to connect the MOST to an after market speaker? Thanks for any info. Joe
  3. Hey All. Tried to paint the left front caliper yesterday. Twice in fact. No matter what I did the duplicolor rattle can paint would stick to the rotor. Used two different types of primer, one being a etching primer. Both times the red looked great but as soon as I touched it it would crinkle/tear. I know the caliper is clean. After the paint ruined the first time I had to remove the caliper to clean it of red paint and primer. Any suggestions? Thanks Joe..
  4. Loren. I see you are the resident electronics GURU. Glad you are here to say the least. This being the first (03' Boxster) true sports car I have ever owned I don't want to screw anything up. But with other cars and trucks I have always had some sort of Power Tuner or OBD type diagnostic tool. Is it worth spending the money on one of these? http://www.durametric.com/buy.php If so can I do the necessary turn on and offs with it? Don't want to void the warranty from Porsche. Thanks again. Joe After rereading the Durammetric site, seems there tool does very little. Any ideas on any others?
  5. Hi All. So If I remove the CDR23,and factory amp and Install aftermarket of both my Computer will be screwed? I will get error codes and such? Joe
