  1. I've installed all the necessary wires except for the illumination wire for my navigation unit.  I have a 2003 boxster with the MOST system.  The illumination wire is not part of the porsche stock harness.

I tried to tap into the illumination wire on the side switches, but without success.  The side switches have an (+) and an (-) wire connection (the right and left side, respectively while facing the back of the switch).

I spliced into the (+) wire without success.

    Any suggestions?

What kind of navi are you installing?

  2. Finally after 7 hours I finally got the GHL muffler installed. The hardest part was taking out the U pipes. I had to wd40 them and wiggled them out. Those took me like 1 1/2 hour.

Wow the muffler sounds very throaty and nice. The muffler isn't too loud that everyone states...must be the 4 cats in the 03 S. I have to say this is a very nice exhaust.

  3. Help guys

I removed all the nuts and bolts...but those two long bolts in the top bracket are killing me. I removed the nuts but the bolts are too long and does not push out. Plus those pipes that connects to the exhaust does not slide out...I used a lot of wd40 and I cannot wiggle it out. Do anyone have any tips or tricks. I been working on this for 3 hours now and I seen other done it in 2 hours.

    I have a 03 Boxster S.

    thanks

  4. Hello Smart Top Users

When using smart top to raised the roof the lid is flush with the rear but I notice the lid is not completely flush with the rear of the boxster when the top is completely lowered. Is this normal?

I am going to swap out the smart top module with the oem and see it it does the same thing later today.

  5. Hi,

I have a 03 S with the Hi Fi option plus CDR23 unit. I purchased a Kenwood 715Dvd radio last week. I installed the radio today and I mounted it in the upper console. The install went fine and everything fitted perfectly. But I am stuck now with the harness.

I removed the CDR23 unit and there were 4 cables connected to the back of this unit. 1, the large plug. 2, the smaller yellow plug above the large plug. 2, the fiber optics plug. 4, the antenna plug.

What are the pin outs for the larger / smaller plugs so I can connect it to the wire harness?

What is the fiber optics plug use for?

Is there an antenna adapter so I can plug it to the reciever contronl unit.

Can I disconnect all the cables in the amp and connect it to the radio harness?

    Would that give me sound?

    Any help would be great.

    Many thanks,

    -y

  6. I wanna replace my factory radio with an Alpine IVA-D300. But the MOST bus is not compatible with the alpine radio. Also can the amp in the trunk be removed if I changed the radio?

I heard the factory alarm is tied into the MOST bus, is that true.

What kind of modification I can do with my audio system?

    Many thanks,

    Nelson
