Anyone have clear instructions for removal of the fule tank door on 2001 coupe?
Thanks

That was probably the easiest thing I've ever done to a Porsche!
Purchased part from dealer, that evening went out to asess difficulty in removing cd storage unit and it popped out in my hand with hardly any effort, slipped the storage shelf in and that was it. 5 minutes max!
Thank you for the information and advice.

Not very useful - just a hole with brackets on side.
I think the shelf is only about $35 - retail.
Thanks - I'll check with the delaer tomorrow.

Yes, just pull.
Thanks - is the cavity a useful space w/o the shelf part?
Curious as I may have time to remove it today but obviously can't get parts and don't want to have an ugly gaping hole in the dash.
I appreciate your help.

To remove the CD storage tray - open the CD tray and remove all the CDs. Then grab both sides with your hands and pull.
There might be a snap when it comes out - but that is how it is removed.
More detail on the replacement "shelf" is here
Grab both sides of a tray?
Thanks

Taking delivery of a '01 black/grey coupe tomorrow. 6 speed, 71k - has all service records and is up to date. Hope it is as reliable and trouble free as our Boxster.

My '04 Boxster w/tip makes a whistling sound starting at about 1800 rpms. Must be at a steady speed and it is continuous until you let off the gas and it stops instantly when the rpms drop below 1800. Any ideas?
Thanks
