  1. Fix and done! Thanks TI, Loren and other members who chimed in for the instruction and diagram.

@ 6 am this morning, I'm in the garage tinkering with the wiper arm and following the instruction I got from the other forum. Now everything is working...took me only 15 mins

In case one of you run into this situation here's what the member told me:

Use something like a very small flathead screwdriver blade to pop/pry off the black cap that covers the wiper spindle. There's a slot on one edge where you can insert it. You will see a hex nut that secures the wiper arm to the rotating spindle. If it has backed off so far that the arm is not grabbing the splines, I suppose it would not rotate. If you are lucky, that may be all that is wrong, and you just need to re-seat the arm on the spindle and tighten the nut down. I think you need a 13mm socket.

  5. When you twist the release bolt with the tool, it should pop out a little but if you twist it all the way, it will sort of lock the headlight back in again, just turn it back half a turn and pull it out.

when I did change my headlight unit this happen to me and it took me a while to figure it out that when you turn all the way, it will lock again and it cost me a tool w/c is $20 @ dealer and found out that I could just use a reg. 5mm hex key :(

  6. Hey guys, yesterday i was getting on the freeway and i turned right semi aggressively and accelerated at the apex of the turn to 5500 rpms and hear this Hissing noise that grew louder as i accelerated....Now i hear it everytime i accelerate to 5500 rpms or when i turn right and accelerate alittle into the turn, I also hear it then.

The noise isnt a solid hissing noise like hiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssssssssssssss..... Its more like hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss, and as the rpms go up, the hissing gets more rapid.

Sorry, I dont know how to explain it any better.

probably the engine mutated into turbo type and youjust didn't know it yet :) j/k....it's Friday, Sunny outside and this weekend, it's 74 degree..wohooo! i'm going for a drive

  7. The service advisor works on commission. The more he recommends the more he makes..

If your car does not need warranty work, do not step into a dealership, period.

i totally agree with you! I took mine for a 45K service, change fuel filter, drain my coolant and put a new one, change my brake fluids..

    warranty work:

    -change camshaft cover

    -fix my seatbelt

    -clear the air bag light

-change the 2 clear side marker

    total cost: $2525 (labor:1925 parts:600)

    warranty covered: $1500

    out of pocket: $1025

the first and last time i'm bringing my car to the dealer....at first i thought the service advisor is throwing in the clear side marker, but no...got charge for it. last week, i bought clear tail light and asked them how much would they charge if I have them install it (just to see if they re going to give me a break), they said it will cost me around $185 (it will take them over an hour to install it and they charge $150 per hr.) i said, that s cool...went home lurk around in the forums, check out threads in regard of tail light...and them..BAMMMM, install it my self and took me 45mins.....
