  1. I am upgrading my long dead AC system to R134 through the Griffiths upgrade compressor, condensor, dryer. The question is what was the original oil used in the system? My worry is mixed reports about remnant oil in the evaporator located underneath the dash. Some say mixing oil types may turn to varnish ... if this is true, it could mean the end of the evaporator and maybe the rest of the system. Has anyone upgraded their system?
