  1. The following picture is for a 2013 Cayenne. I had to remove the trim to be able to remove the plug and drain the car. To a few of the other posts, the amount of water released was comical and disconcerting. Removing the trim does take some time, and a few of the screws are in odd places. I started by loosening everything underneath the car between the front and back door. Then once loosened I started from the back door I popped the wheel well trim away to access the cover for the running board trim. Not sure who wanted to place a bolt directly between the front and back door, but I put down the socket wrench and picked up pliers. There is also a screw behind the front wheel well cover that you'll need to remove as well to remove the rest of the trim. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver for that one. I recommend turning the steering wheel all the way to the right to make it easier to access that screw.
