Hi,
I have an '04 Boxster S (anniv. model) with a 6 speed manual. When I first got it (April '04), I mentioned that I was smelling coolant to dealer when I was having a CD changer installed. They found no problem and there was no loss of coolant.
I could swear I smell coolant once in a while but the level seems ok. I've read about problems with coolant tanks and the tank cover and am thinking it's probably the cover.
It's still on warranty so I plan on bringing it in for this problem as well as the driver's window (as mentioned in other post).
Thanks in advance for any help,
Charlie

Hi,
I have an '04 Boxster S (anniv. model) and I recently got a Smart Top and installed it. I plan on bringing in the car for service because the driver window makes a very slight "clunk" when it reaches the fully closed position. I doubt if it has anything to do with the Smart Top but I'm thinking I should put the original module back just in case, right?
The '05 987's seem to have most of the features of the Boxster Smart Top. Did Porsche just "update" the same module ? In other words, could you just "pop" in the updated module from a 987 instead of the Smart Top?
Thanks,
Charlie :drive:
2007 987 water temp gauge not working
in 987-1 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)
Posted
My car is an '04 986S (anniv. model) and today a red light started flashing in the temp gauge along with a "failure indicator" message. Does this TSB also apply to the 986 models? FYI: The gauge isn't reading at all.
Thanks in advance.
