  1. Hi all

My car is MY08 Carrera 2S (RHD), yesterday I noticed the passenger-side mirror did not drop lower when I put the car into reverse.  It also did not respond to the driver-side's control knob.  Strangely however, when turning the key to on after a shut down, the mirror will move according to the knob for 1-2 seconds before stopping to respond again.

Has anyone encounter this before?  Any help would be appreciated.  I am trying to avoid taking the car to the dealer here, for their service was sub-par and required also a long waiting time :( .

    Thanks

  2. Not sure whether you mean the inner 'grab' handle or the inner door handle. I'm guessing the inner door, it's only held on with one screw and can be removed easily without removing the door panel. The inner 'grab' handle (the leather bit) can also be removed just by carefully pulling off.

Both can be removed and replaced by someone with medium DIY shills.

    Thanks, here is my C2S

  3. I got my 997C2S delivered 2 weeks ago, and found there was a scratch on the inner door handle where the paint came off. Dealer would replace it on the coming servicing, and I am wonder if the job to replace that metal part would mean a tear down of the door panel and that would result in some creeking noise later on?

Anyone has the schematics of replacing the inner door handle? Tks.
