Congrats on a great car!
I, myself have a Speed Yellow 2000 "S" and have done a bunch of mods to it. And not one of them i wouldn't recommend:
Evo Intake (Sounds awsome)
GIAC Chip, I think? (already had it when bought, unable to confirm though)
6spd w/ Limited Slip Differential
13lbs flywheel, custom organic lined unsprung-disc clutch
Eibach sport shocks, H&R Springs, f/r strut braces
18" wheels with some sticky tires
plus ruffly 75lbs weight reduction by removing alot of the "fluff" components like a stereo and spare tire.... :clapping:
The car flys through the back roads! And shoots off the line. I've gone up against a few 996's and they really can't hang through the corners against a Boxster with an LSD. Gotta love the Mid-Engine!

I have a 2000 Boxster S 6spd that has been suffering from a rough, unsteady idle. My mechanic believes it to be the IACV or a vacuum leak. I did some research and found conflicting info on weather or not there is an IACV in my car,.. I've wrenched many hours on my car and do not see a IACV attached to my throttle body.
Does anyone know if my car has this or not? Or any ideas on what may be causing the rough idle? Another issue my car has is when i fill up a new tank of gas my car won't start right away,.. i have to crank it for a few seconds and give it gas when it starts to turn over... not every time does this happen, but more often than not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
List of tried fixes:
Cleaned Throttle Body
Cleaned MAF
Visual inspection of vacuum lines
Injector cleaner
Fuel filter replace
Cleaned air filter
Ran a couple tanks of Octane boost and seemed to help a little
Ruff Idle, Problems starting when I fill up
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)

The plugs were replaced about 6k ago,..but the ruff idle was there befor. Also, i only have an issue with starting up right after after i fill up with gas. It starts like a charm all the other times. These may be 2 seperate issues, i only had a problem starting about 3 weeks now.
