My original battery last me about 4 years and my second one last me about 3 years. I thought about replacing the battery with the Porsche battery but this time I got the Optima Yellow top (should have gotten the blue top). I had to change out one of the wire and made a mount for the battery and so far it works great(had it like this for about 2 months).

I used to have the exhaust bypass pipes from fabspeed. Lossing weight along made my car handle and perform better. However it was way too loud and I ended it up taking it out. I was wondering how loud your car is with the cat bypass pipes?

I just hope I don't have any other issue with the car...

Very strange thing happen to me about a week ago... I washed the car on last Sunday weekend. When I woke up on Monday, my driver side window was crack in thousands of pieces. I don't know whether it had anything to do with me washing it but now I have to get it replace. I've called a porsche dealership and they told me they have never replaced the driverside windows before and they say they will get back with me with the cost later. So, do anyone know how much it will cost to replace the door window?

I do have another question with the way window cracked. It looks like broken door window is touching the rear triangle and seems glass was exploded outward???

Hey neighbor! :D I also use Mobil 1 0w-40 however I've seen commercial for Mobil 1 Extended Performance and was thinking about trying it on my car.

When I had a problem with my key cylinder (I think that is what's called). I was still able to turn on radio, air condition, windows, sunroof even after I took out the key. Replacing the unit fixed it right away.

Can you show me what center console you are talking about? Do you mean the armrest? I'm interested also.

Sunset Imports has the lowest price I've seen so far. Their customer service is also excellent.

I had the dealer put one in a couple months ago and it is very hard to get into reverse and often pops out of reverse if you take your hand off. I intend to take back to see if it can be adjusted.

I haven't had any problem with short shifter. It's been wonderful for about 400-500 miles so far. When I installed mine I used same location of original screw thread for the two adjustable cables. If you want, go to my other post and get the screw thread location number and try that setup.

If I open my door the window lowers about quarter inch and when I close the door it goes all the way up. I believe it does it either engine is on or off.

I got this jack from Sears and it works great. I use it on my Porsche and S2000.

I went to the dealership about month ago and they bled the brake and the clutch fluid. I guess I have to call the dealership if any work has been done or not.

I got my car little over two years ago with only 2000 miles. When I first got it I've noticed the clutch engagement point is kinda high and I've just assumed that is how is it. Since the car only had 2000 miles and all. But I had the chance to drive other person's 996 and his clutch engages at around mid point. Is this something I can adjust or do I have to take it to the dealership to get it adjust?

Just be extra careful with the parking brake cover. Just remember to undo the top first and pull up.

You can just ask them. They should tell you the wheel offset number for both cars.

I guess it all depends on how the person drives the car.

Someone told me if the shifter's throw is bigger than 35% it put too much load on syncro and can wear out or damage it. Is it true?
