Today while looking at the Dension site for information about the ICELINK 500 for MY '05 Boxster S with PCM 2.1,NAV and CD Changer, I noticed information for a BLUETOOTH module. It is the Desion BT1000 and it appears to be my Audio solution for my IPOD and bluetooth. This adaptor will, as it appears from the photo, to transmit to your bluetooth phone. However, there is no information on the site as of yet with full details. I need to understand if the audio regarding the bluetooth will come through all of my speakers and how will it affect the music when it is activated. I also wanted to know if it is being added to the Dension 500 or becomes an option. If so, will the music stop playing and then resume once I disconnect the call? First thing I did was to send Eric-the plug guy an email to find out more. He said details are to be released soon but the module is not out yet. I think this will at the least satisfy some of my primary concerns regarding BLUETOOTH and Audio.
I am hoping that there will be another group buy very soon for the Dension 500. If you are interested, please contact me. :notworthy:
Has anyone found out about this BT1000 module? If so, please enlighten me.
how does it work easy to install

Are you talking about the center tail light above the spoiler? If so use a small screw driver to gently pry the cover on the right side of 3rd brake light then use that screw driver to turn the twist lock 90 degrees. Once removed unplug the wire. Cool?
the whole tail light

Rewired both of mine so that they come on with brake application. Like high mount brake light this draws more attention to the fact that I'm on the brakes.

It is from a new style Boxster cluster. The new style clusters have LEDs instead of clear bulbs that the old style has. The bottom one is from an old style cluster.
I gues the LEDs are red and yellow so when they are on you see color and not a clear icon.
do you know if it will it fit a 996 c4s 2005 and if the icon are the same

The only retrofit kit that I know of is for the Cayenne.
I do not know if you can put that (or a 997/987) version in a 996. It is a custom unit for Porsche and may require MOST (I can't check my schematics right now as I am traveling).
Other options are the aftermarket Homelink system or the garage door opener hack in the DIY section.
