  1. Loren can you give me the step by step on how to do what your talking about with this tool?
  2. Can I buy this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-Digital-Volt-Ohm-Meter-Voltmeter-Multimeter-DT830B-/130631944578?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e6a454982
  3. Where would I do the checking of continuity and voltage? Can you pretty much tell how I do step by step?
  4. Is the A6 only for the driver side or for both of the seats?
  5. Loren, Is the seats a pain in the *** to remove the heat element? I also just read that it might be the relay... the relay is brand new 165 lol, I found another source that has them for less. I am going to see in this order Fuse, relay, and then the element. I see this is a common problem.
  6. Being that I am in nj it is getting really cold as in 15 degrees this morning I decided to press my heated seat button . To my surprise the button light flashed and turn right off. I pressed the passenger side seat one and it stayed on with no problem. I then went back and pressed the driver's side button and it did the samething no dice. i know its not the button cause I swapped the driver's side with the passenger and still didn't work. Anyone have any idea what the heck could be wrong? I am thinking the fuse is ok but not sure there is one for each side? My car is 2002 996 c2. Any help would be great. I don't have access to a porsche computer and the durametric i have did not pick up any codes.
  7. Hello, You responded to my post on the forum about the transmission service.I do have a motive bleeder that I had bought for my boxster when I did the brakes. So my question is you think I can use this part to add to it and make is filler instead. http://motiveproducts.3dcartstores.com/Powerfill-Adapter_p_137.html
  8. I went to my mechanic today and he had a problem cause he doesn't have a tool that will fit in the tiny hole to fill up the transmission after its been drained. Does anyone know where I can get such a thing? I need to get this done asap. anyone who can lead me to this info thanks.
  9. Thanks for the response, I took it out for a spin after doing them above it ran smoother. Not, sure if it was psychological but it ran much smoother. Is that possible? The plugs looked blk after my mechanic removed them. My next thing I want to do is my coil overs, my suspension is making noises.
  10. Can someone tell me if there is any other benefits to replacing coil packs and spark plugs? I really had no choice as each coil pack was cracked but just wanted to see if there was anything difference i would notice with the new coil packs or new spark plugs . The spark plugs were the same ones from factory . They had 80k miles on them so they lasted a while.
  11. It was on the durametric, it's a tiptronic and I think it was the tiptronic module
  12. Can anyone tell what this means ? My dura metric gave me this code. I cleared it and it hasn't come back. Could it be low transmission fluid ?
  13. http://www.ebay.com/itm/270861063971?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  14. Ok alittle history on my oem suspension. I replaced my driver's side lower control arm 10 mths ago or so when it was making a horrible noise but with that said the sound I hear is coming from all the around the car when I am just driving and also if I hit a nice bump or pothole it makes the noise more. I am leaning towards doing coilovers . Can someone think of anything else it might be squeaking?
  15. Well, I went to have my spark plugs replaced and i was surprised by the mechanic telling me that all my coil packs were cracked. I recently purchased new ones from ebay for 239, which is about $61.00 cheaper then getting it from anywhere else which wanted 48-60 each. I also contacted tpc and confirmed that I can used these plugs and that there is no issues.
  16. Short of sounding stupid but I have no clue what I am lookingat they list is their own spark plugs
  17. So then my question is will the plugs I bought work since I already have them and Tpc recommended them ?
  18. Loren, Not trying to gain anything except just do normal maintence and got a great deal on these plugs at 2.99 a piece. I was at one time going to install the Tpc supercharger and they required I upgrade to these plugs but since I decided to upgrade my suspension to coilovers and do some interior upgrades I have scraped the Tpc supercharger idea. I guess the plugs are compatible if Tpc recommended them. I have noticed my gas mileage has gotten worse so I was figuring doing the tranny service , O2 sensors replacement since I ran duramtetric codes for the sensors are aged. So since I am doing this I figured to upgrade/replace plugs. My only modification I have which I know effects the gas mileage is k&n cold air intake but I have had that for a while and never really had the bad gas mileage as I do now. I have order the sea foam treatment for the gas tank so that it might clean out the areas which effects gas mileage and performance . Also changing the plugs at 80k miles is more a piece of mind if nothing else.
  19. I own a 2002 996 c2 and want to replace my stock spark plugs with Bosch Super Plus FR5DTC Spark Plug. Will there be any problem using these? My car has 80k miles so I am def due for a change. These plugs are suppose to be high performance plugs. This part of my next service I am having my mechanic do plus replace all 4 O2 sensors , plus servicing my triptronic transmission , filter, fluid, and ring.
  20. I did some research and it seems like the O2 sensor. The only difference in the before and after kat one is the cable length, so buy the before kat one so it will fit both places(it has the longer cable. This is what I got from seller on ebay. So I will just go to my mechanic with the O2 sensor as well as I got a tiptronic code of 50 which is impressible transmission ratio which means I need to replace the tranny fluid
  21. I used my Durametric tool and the P2096 code came up and it says aging O2 Sensor on bank 1 Delay. How do i figure which one is not good....
  22. May sound like a dumb question but does bank 1 O2 sensor come before or after the Catalytic Converter? I need to order a new one and just want to make sure I get the right one.
  23. LOL, Tpc has a very bad track record of being unhelpful. Just asked most of the people who had contacted them when they were installing this kit or for that matter any kit TPC makes. They figure by discontinuing a kit which they do very often after only having the kit out for 2 to 3 yrs that they don't have to support them. So in answer your question yes I have contacted them which was useless
