  1. The only thing that can affect the engine behavior, after replacing the plastic cooling pipes, is a leaking intake manifold gasket, a leak in the thin plastic tubes into the V of the engine or a small leak somewhere between both MAF and the manifold. If the CEL is not lit, is it still advisable using a diagnostic device, such as PIWIS, to check the engine actual values.

  2. According the manufacturer, the cartridge type oil filter is inserted for environmental reasons.

The bypass valve is used especially with cold engine, when the oil is thick and difficult to penetrate the paper filter, to prevent tearing off the paper by pressure. Let the valve where she is. It is therefore important to maintain the oil viscosity specified by the manufacturer. Also for the hex shaft of the oil pump, which can twist and break down at a later stage. Cold too thick oil requires too much force where the engine is not designed for.

  3. Mechanics employed to an OPC get a copy after the end of the course on the subject in question, so it is not really meant for dealers and public. The intention is to use the copy as a reminder of how the systems works in general, and the differences with the previous product, in this case the 997 Turbo. So it works in Germany and in most European countries.

  4. Given no error codes are shown, the ABS itself will be fine. The tires can give a problem, have they the right size, are they too worn or have they become too harsh with age? As well as the brake pad/rotor combination condition. The ABS will not occur until, a preprogrammed, difference in wheel rotation has been established while braking.
