The computer on my 997 2s was falshing on the last bar for the oil indicator. I got nervous and put 2 quarts of oil in. I know that was to much. What should I do? Can that cause damage? The car is running fine but I'm worried. Any advise. Thanks

It depends... there are two switches on the clutch pedal. One switch for the start interlock and one for cruise control.
If the clicking is "heavier" than a switch or there is any binding then something else is wrong.
Thanks Loren,
It is just one click when I push the pedal all the way in. I think its a normal sound, just not sure.

On the 997 C2S my clutch pedal makes a klicking sound when its pushed all the way in. Is this normal?

I have a 07 carrera s. The other day my uncle wanted to test drive my car. He turned the steering wheel all the way until it made that noise. I never do that and was wondering could that hurt the steering in any way.
thanks

Your dealer is wrong - first the 997 engine is the same engine as the 996 - some cars can use a quart every 1500 miles and some do not. For instance my MY99 does not use any oil between changes at all. If your car does not use oil then simply smile at those folks that complain about using a quart every 1500 miles. :D
Loren,
I just bought a 2007 CS I only have 500 miles on it. When is my first oil change due and how often should I be checking my oil level
To much oil

I spoke to the porsche service manager and he said don't worry about it. But from what everyone is saying I should drain some oil. Car is running fine do you guys still think I should drain it.
Thanks
