2002 996tt @51k miles
has a chain niose on rt side.
kinda, a clicky-clack,clicky-clack,clicky-clack....... at idle...... off idle goes away.
listening with a long screwdriver you hear it on the rt chainrails mounting pins.
so we are thinking a worn rail or pad on the rail.
what about tenioner....low presure at idle ?
or chain slack......... at low idle ?
It's a new owner he never noticed it till I brought it to his attention doing and oil change.
now paranoia has set in and he hears it and wants it fixed,
I have motor out ,Valve Covers off. getting ready to remove chain rails to inspect

sorry but what is "LWFW" ?
ok i searched ....
no it doesn't have light flywheel.
I know what that sounds like.
this in the rt chain area.
flywheel noise usually goes away when clutch is applied,
this doesn't.
