  1. Hi, Does anyone have the headlights wiring plug diagram for MY99. thanks
  2. well actually I think I'll do the cut-off mod in the DIY section.
  3. Dealer had to go by the book and installed the wire.. Can I just disconnect the speedometer wire? and also if you can tell me where to look for it?
  4. It does pretty much the same job, and Im wondering if I could use them. has anyone done the facelift that could give some insight.
  5. I already have the trays, what I wanna know is the screws and nuts that hold the tray to fenders..shoud they be replaced with newer ones?? thanks
  6. There are height ajustment nuts for the headlights trays, Can I just use my99 ones or should I get new ones? $$$ about 300.[/size]
  7. Gotta make sure if wheel liners are needed. I started the facelift, so bumper is for sale. PM me if you interested.
  8. Do I have to change the Wheel liners as well for this mod.? I know its not same part #, but Is there difference as far as the shape itself, can I use my99 ones? thanks.
  9. I found a got deal for the harness 500 from LA Dismantler, All I need is a how to wire it together. any tips.
  10. Loren, do you have the part number for `02+ bi-xenon harness, dealer tells me they have 996.612.317.15 which is for driver side, and as for passenger side its the complete passenger side harness which is about 6-7 Gs. So should I get twice the same wires or Is there a different harness that I could use for this facelift. thanks
  11. Hi everyone, I have a 99 996, done a couple of mods thanks to renntech :renntech: , I recently finished my PSE installed w/switch, and starting a 02+ facelift. I did alot of research and got all the necessary parts. My only problem is the pricey$$ wiring harness for bi-xenons. 1- I can find connectors for headlight, but is the wiring the same on my99 and 02+ bi-xenon, I have retrofit litronics so no auto-leveling. 2- I thought using 02+ bi-xenon wiring diagram and my99 diagram, I could try matching pin to headlight. will it work or I need to do other mods. I read about this in http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...&hl=harness, but the topic stops. and am sure the other alternative than spending $$$. Im just waiting to figure out what to do about this issue then I'll start the facelift project. And I thought since there's alot of unanswered question regarding older 996 to new 996 conversion, I will do a step by step w/pics of the project in the DIY section. thanks.
  12. You were right OrientExpress, went to dealer they said the wiring is supposed to be in there, didn't know why wasn't in the box and turned out to be lying around there... they gave me the wiring kit.
  13. Confusion. So in the instructions, what wiring they talking about( with all those colors and relays)?.. That means I gotta get wires for the switch and for all the way to engine compartement. do you know what kind of wires are needed(? gauge).
  14. Is there a part number for such wiring? or I just use some wires like for the spoiler switch mod.
  15. Does the PSE kit include the wiring for the switch? I don't see it in the box. I bought the switch but was I supposed to buy wiring as well..?
  16. Correct me if Im wrong OE, with a PSE there's a sound cutoff at a regular/intermediate speed(which I don't want) and to disable it I just shouldn't hookup the pK/grey wire. And I could still use the switch for manual sound cutoff. plz let me know if thats right, I wanna make the most out of it at that $. thanks
  17. Hi, I just purchased a PSE and will get it installed next week. I've been reading about this and am wondering about the cut off mod... what is that do exactly? Is this something I can ask the dealer to do? I would appreciate any info. thanks
  18. Thanks for the quick reply Loren, how can this be fixed.
  19. Yes Im aware it is a 7.5A, but as soon as I put it in, it blows off. what could possibly be the cause? thanks
  20. Hi everyone, I recently bought my second 996, this one a 01 cab. The dealer had the daylight mod done on the car, I realized that the climate control wasn't working, so I looked at the fuse box and a wire went from both headlight spot in the fuse box to the climate control spot. I unplugged the wire and climate contol worked!! but after driving an hour or two, my right low beam, right side marker and right rear light were not working. In the fuse box, fuse # A3 was burnt, changed it and blew up again, right away. Was there a short circuit in the system, any help is appreciated. thanks
  21. Can I do this mod with the stock air intake or this is only for fabspeed cold air intake kit?
