Does anyone have the diagram or which wire to trigger the door sills to light up?? The way its run now they will light up anytime the footwell lights are on, so i cant keep them dim like i prefer to
-
Does anyone have an opinion on whether I should get the FabSpeed or GMP 2nd Cat Bypass Pipes for my Cayenne Turbo?
fabspeeds
I have a set if you are interested (used 2 months)
-
That's freaking crazy! :P Why not just put the battery under the hood. Room issues? Or under the rear seat like some MB's.
its more for weight dustribution
Also you do know there are terminals under the hood in the event you need to boost the truck
-
Why not just buy a high quality replacement battery for the OEM. Putting one under the driver's seat does not sould very safe in the unlikely event of an accident.
:jump: uuummm you do realize the battery is under the drivers seat from the factory right?

5. Has anyone ever ordered the regular steering wheeL and know the cost?
i had the dealer change mine (1 hour labor), i have my original wheel (multi in black) if you are interested
-
without the flares, they come right to the fenders edge (my truck has the wider rears, i dunno if the backspacing is the same)
-
Does anyone have suggestions, words of wisdom, lessons learned from a Cayenne window replacement? Should I go OEM or is the PPG replacement ok? I have the Rain Sensing wipers.
Any wisdom will be appreciated.
Matt
i had mine replaced at a top end body shop who are notorious for being anal about their work and i have no complaints

my belt just broke on saturday, my truck has 35,000 miles on it. The dealer Roslyn Porsche just called with concerns about the aftermarket items my truck has (cargraphic muffler, evoms intake and turbo mike aluminum intake- no chip).
WTF are they kidding me???
and it has a porsche 100,000 warranty
-
leave the car as you bought it it is very beautifull dont need these stupid aftermarket garbage to look nice :)
I believe he is referring to the Porsche OEM wheel spacers that you could have ordered directly from the option sheet
-
I have them on my 9" Technos on the rear and I think it adds a subtle, but agressive look to the truck.
my truck also has the tequipment wheel flares so they dont stick out at all
-
i have them on the back of mine with the 10in wide technos

i have the same set up as you (AERO KIT) what bulbs did you use for the fogs?
i just used regular bulbs
-
i had them installed on mine even though the advertising claimed that it would not set off the fault code and it would take 15 minutes to set off the code so i removed them. Regular bulbs produce much better light with my new aero kit lamps anyway

Mine lasted 3 years
Sometimes a leg sensor can throw the computer off. Its amazing what a couple of restarts can fix on the Cayenne
The plot thickens--i went out mid-day to my very low-rider TT, started up engine to see what would happen and sat there and the suspension slowly started to re-inflate and get back to normal levels.i have no idea how long that will last. will take to dealership this week.
had that happen to mine, dealer changed a acceleration sensor?

Hi,
In my Cayenne Turbo the bar indicator isn't show (when
I pushing down fully the accelerator pedal) more than 0,3bar and my check engine light is always lighting.
Has anyone got any idea?
thanks Joseph
check the coils

There is a picture of the SS Plate in my Cayenne's Registry
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?&...tem&CID=138
i checked out your pic but your truck does not have the aero kit
-
The stainless lower shield is real stainless and is mounted upon the original plastic shield.
Regards.
Yep, I have an 2003 Cayenne, apparently its always been an option since then.
anyone have any pics of this setup???????????
-
I noticed in the tequipment catalog that the aero kit is installed with the stainless lower shield on the front. Can anyone confirm that this is possible?? The dealer says no, thats its just painted that color to look like stainless :help:
-
does anyone know how to replace the steering wheel on the cayenne??? Im looking to swap the stock wheel for the optional thicker one??
-
Did George do your rims? He refinished all the wheels to my car...from my M5, to my Hartges....Amazing job!
yes it was George
great service
-
those are 20" wheels (21's are only available on the 07)
im pretty sure you could find an 05 or 06 for the same $$$

I currently have an M3 and a Land Cruiser. The M3 lease is about up and I'm trying to find a sporty solution to replace both cars. I test drove an '04 Cayenne Turbo today and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It only had 16K miles and appears to be clean. Dealer is asking $60K. Does this seem reasonable? Anything I should look out for when buying a car like this? Have read postings on this forum warning of electrial gremlins in the '04s. Is this a valid concern? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
bfrank@indy.rr.com
how many miles??? sounds like too much for an 04. What options?
