hi,
Anyone knows where to get the 997-1 pcm repair cd? Tried to upgrade to 2.1 but something went wrong and the head cd unit cannot read disks any longer.
Thanks in advance

pcm - cd drive alternatives
in 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S)
Posted
Hi all,
my carrera s 997-1 has developed a fault in the builtin cd drive (disk unreadable). The cd drive code is cdm m6 4.8. I acquired an seemingly identical cd drive coded css m6 4.2. Would it be safe to install it in place of the cdm m6? Unfortunatelly I cannot find the exact specs for either of the two so I am a bit hesitant.
I would be grateful if someone can advise.
